Jessica Biel reacts as Justin Timberlake apologizes to Britney Spears

Jessica Biel is next to her husband, Justin Timberlake, while the pop star apologized to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson this week.

The “Man of the Woods” artist accessed Instagram on Friday in response to the reaction he received after showing the New York Times document, “Framing Britney Spears”, apologizing to the two women for their role in interrupting their careers and contribute to the public shame of the singer “Glory”.

“I love you. [heart emoji], ”Biel commented in his post, in which Timberlake stated:“ I deeply regret the time in my life when my actions contributed to the problem, when I spoke out of turn or did not defend what was right. I understand that I failed in those moments and in many others and I benefited from a system that tolerates misogyny and racism.

“I want to apologize specifically to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson individually,” he continued, “because I care and respect these women and I know that I have failed. I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves something better and, most importantly, because this is a broader conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be a part of and grow with. “

“Framing Britney Spears” briefly addresses Spears’ youth romance with the NSYNC star in the early 2000s – and the aftermath, which included claims that Spears betrayed Timberlake.

Timberlake fed the narrative with a video of his 2002 song “Cry Me A River”, which featured a blonde actress, reminiscent of Spears, sneaking up behind him.

Biel and Timberlake married in 2012 and share sons Silas, 5, and Phineas, 1.
