Jesse Plemons landed the lead role in Martin Scorsese Flower Moon Killers, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Plemons will play Tom White, an FBI agent investigating the murders of oil producer Osage Nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s. Scorsese’s favorite, Leonardo DiCaprio, who has been in the film since 2017, will play a minor character alongside Robert De Niro. The film is set to shoot this summer for Apple, despite Scorsese’s notorious aversion to streaming (but apparent love for his budget). Plemons worked with Scorsese previously on The Irish and also starred in the strangest movie of this strangest of years, I’m thinking about ending things, although perhaps he is remembered more fondly as Landry Clarke in Friday Night Lights. Perhaps now he will get the familiar name recognition he deserves.
