In just his third G League game, Lin finished with 29 points, nine assists and 7 out of 9 shots from three in a 124-116 win for the Santa Cruz Warriors against the Westchester Knicks in the Disney World G League bubble.
It is the highest number of points that the nine-year-old NBA veteran has scored in an American professional basketball game since 2017. He added 32 points to the Nets in the loss to the Orlando Magic on April 6, 2017.
His seven trios were two of his career record – he drained three trebles in the Rockets’ defeat in 2013 to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Lin, who played his debut season at the Warriors, signed with the Golden State affiliate G League in January after a year in China playing for the Beijing Basketball Association’s Beijing Ducks. The 32-year-old Harvard product averaged 22.3 points at 49.1% shooting in the field with the Ducks.
Lin was one of three double-digit Santa Cruz Warriors on Saturday – Jordan Poole finished 26, and the 2020 draft pick Nico Mannion had 22.
