Who needs the ball in Times Square when you have Jennifer Lopez?
The 51-year-old pop superstar ended 2020 with a performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin ‘Eve”, rising above the stage with a gigantic Valentino Haute Couture cape and a spherical helmet by Marianna Harutunian that resembles the falling ball itself.
Fans didn’t know what to do with the artist’s face coverage, with a Twitter user writing, “They said ‘please wear a mask’ and Jennifer Lopez said ‘ON IT.'”
“I’m not sure if the JLo mask is approved by the CDC”, another meditated.
Others scoffed at their white cape with soft feathers, with one person Just kidding, “Jennifer Lopez doing a tribute to accumulating toilet paper is pretty sure for 2020.”
Lopez later removed the over-the-top tracksuit to reveal a custom Balmain jacket and a round neckline jumpsuit entirely covered in sparkling crystals.
Earlier in the week, the New York native sparked her presentation with an elegant photo shoot on the subway, dressed in another attractive outfit from Balmain.
With new music, a newly launched beauty line and a famous groom by the side, it seems that Lopez already has a lot to celebrate in 2021.
