The project is called The Mother, with Mulan director Niki Caro in talks to lead the project, Deadline said.

The actress must play the deadly killer in the story – in the spirit of Luc Besson’s classic, The Professional, according to the outlet.

His character comes out of hiding to protect his daughter, from whom she had given up years before.

Jennifer will be producing the project with Elaine Goldsmith Thomas for Nuyorican Productions, as well as Benny Mendina, Roy Lee and Miri Yoon for Vertigo Entertainment, as well as Misha Green, who wrote the script with revisions by Andrea Berloff.
