“I got to the point where I was like, ‘That’s not why I do this.'”
Hustlers it was one of Jennifer Lopez’s best films, but although the singer made a phenomenal performance like Ramona, she did not receive a 2020 Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
“I was like, ‘OK, when you’re supposed to be on everyone’s mind supposed to be nominated and you’re not, what does that mean?'” She asked. “Is it really real? The others are real and isn’t this? “
“I got to the point where I thought, ‘That’s not why I do that,'” added Lopez. “I don’t do this to have 10 Oscars in my fireplace or 20 Grammys.”
The actress realized that she likes to make films to “entertain, inspire and empower people”, instead of receiving some praise.
“The point is to create,” she said, and while J.Lo is doing it, she couldn’t be happier.
