Jennifer Lopez Jets for DC’s Opening in Monochrome Pants and Boots – Footwear News

President-elect Joe Biden and elected vice-president Kamala Harris will take office in less than 24 hours and Jennifer Lopez is heading to Washington DC for the important occasion.

The “On the Floor” singer posted a photo earlier on the departure pier towards the country’s capital before tomorrow’s event, in which she will perform. Staying as elegant as ever, Lopez opted for a twist on the monochrome trend courtesy of Alberta Ferretti.

The monochrome style has become one of the biggest trends of this season, favored by names like Kourtney Kardashian, Emma Roberts, Rihanna and more for its aerodynamic appeal. Lopez herself has long been a fan of clothing combinations, wearing everything from coordinated blouses and pants to matching sweatshirts and sneakers.

Lopez’s “DC Bound” approach to the trend included a soft sweater combined with a chevron overcoat and baggy pants that camouflaged directly in his sloppy gray boots. The textured boots featured a chic square toe finish and heeled heels, with all the clothes and accessories from Alberta Ferretti’s autumn ’20 collection.

The opening ceremony takes place at noon ET tomorrow, January 20, with reinforced security measures in place due to the growing threat of armed protests and riots across the country. Although the process looks different due to health and safety precautions, there is still a fanfare that can be expected. Lady Gaga will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner”, appearing alongside names like Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi John Legend and other important names who will perform in addition to Jennifer Lopez on Induction Day.

“Celebrating America” will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC. It will also be broadcast live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch. The opening coverage will begin at 9 am Eastern Time and will be broadcast on all major networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN, PBS, Telemundo, Univision and MSNBC. Viewers can also watch the ceremony via the official White House website, the live broadcast of the Biden Inaugural Committee on YouTube and on Facebook, Twitter and also on Amazon Prime Video.
