She sure knows how to get the public’s attention, but Jennifer Lopez is apparently a little nervous about performing at Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration ceremony.
The Inaugural Presidential Committee (PIC) announced last week that Lopez, 51, is included in the list of musical artists for the opening ceremony of Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday at the US Capitol in Washington DC
Despite her mega performance at the Super Bowl LIV last year as a halftime artist, Lopez’s fiancé Alex Rodriguez has suggested that she knows the grand opening has a big responsibility.
“To think that in the space of 12 months she had the Super Bowl, the New Year and now the inaugural one. It’s unbelievable!” Rodriguez said during his appearance on Monday on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” via Yahoo.

“And what’s interesting is that she’s more nervous about Washington, DC, because of the responsibility, and she wants more than anything, like all of us, to bring people together, to inspire. And you know, music and sports do it better than anything, “added the former MLB player.
While Lopez’s performance is confirmed, little is known about what song (s) she will sing. Rodriguez hinted to Fallon that she has “something really cool” planned.
“Then you will be surprised. You will love it,” he said.

“I hope everyone will be happy, safe and it will be a calm day,” said Germanotta, adding that he has “normal fears that a father would have when my daughter introduces himself”.
Country singer Garth Brooks will also take the stage, PIC announced on Monday. He joked that he will likely be “the only Republican at the ceremony”.
Meanwhile, other inaugural traditions are scheduled to take place this week. One involves a special primetime screening on January 20 entitled “Celebrating America”, which will be hosted by Tom Hanks. Demi Lovato also confirmed that she is “honored” to join the group.

PIC CEO Tony Allen said in a statement last week that this year’s artists for the 59th Inauguration Ceremony “represent a clear picture of the great diversity of our great nation and will help honor and celebrate the time-honored traditions of Presidential inauguration as President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris take an oath of office on the West Front of the United States Capitol. “
