Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez say separation reports are ‘inaccurate’ | Jennifer Lopez

Singer Jennifer Lopez and former New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez said on Saturday that they were “sorting things out” and that reports of their separation after nearly four years together were inaccurate.

Celebrity website TMZ, the New York Post’s Page Six and several entertainment sites on Friday cited unidentified sources close to the couple, sometimes known in the media as J-Rod, saying the pair canceled the engagement.

“All reports are inaccurate. We are working on some things, ”said Lopez, 51, and Rodriguez, 45, one of the largest celebrity couples in the United States, in a joint statement provided to Reuters.

The Love Don’t Cost a Thing and Rodriguez singer, known as A-Rod, started dating in early 2017 and announced their engagement in March 2019.

An unidentified source told People magazine that the pair had never officially split, but had talked about it.

“They went through a rough patch,” said the source, adding that the rumors linking A-Rod with a reality show star “had no influence on the rough patch.”

“She is working in the Dominican Republic and he is in Miami, so it is difficult to see each other, especially with Quarantine and Covid,” the source told People.

Lopez, who sang in the possession of Joe Biden in January, said at the end of last year that the couple postponed the wedding twice because of the pandemic.

She began her career as a dancer and singer, and produced and starred in the 2019 film Hustlers.

Rodriguez retired in 2016 after a 22-year career in which he reached 696 home runs, placing him fourth on the Major League Baseball all-time home run list.
