Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are preparing for a weekend together in the Dominican Republic.

The 51-year-old actress is in the country to shoot her latest film Shotgun Wedding, while Alex, 45, has come and gone to Miami to prepare as a commentator for the start of the baseball season.

According to the couple’s respective social media accounts, the duo will meet this weekend as People reports that it continues to do everything it can to stay together, making this a priority.

“They are doing everything they can to prioritize their relationship,” a source told People on Wednesday.

“He flew back to spend a few more days with Jennifer,” said the source of his most recent stop to see the Grammy winner.

A-Rod is due to return to his home in Miami before the 2021 season of Major League Baseball begins on April 1.

The two were caught kissing when he visited her in the Caribbean country last week, making it look like they were back on dry land.

Jennifer posted a stunning selfie on her Instagram on Friday dressed in a colorful printed Versace top.

‘Something about that Friday glow,’ she captioned the photo showing her beautifully made-up face.

She tagged her beauty brand, J-Lo Beauty, in the promotional photo, and also noted that her location is in the Dominican Republic, where she is filming her next romantic comedy alongside Josh Duhamel in the coming weeks.

The star also shared a similar snapshot in her Instagram stories in a slightly altered pose.

The striking features of the performer Hustler were the focus on the images, with her blond hair carefully tousled on her face.

Meanwhile, Alex posted a photo on Instagram a few hours later, of himself enjoying the pool at the house they share in the Dominican Republic.

His back was in full view as he surveyed the dazzling water and palm trees looking at him.

‘Going to the weekend as … I hope you have a great time’, he captioned the post.

In the Stories of the former professional baseball player, he posted some clips of him getting in shape going around the pool.

He added an emoji from the Dominican Republic flag to a clip, making it clear that he would spend the next few days with his better half.

“He is making a big effort and wants Jennifer to be happy,” added the source.

One of Jennifer’s team members recently said on Instagram that she had four more weeks to shoot the movie Shotgun Wedding. That means she can join Alex in Miami in mid-April.
