Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ended their engagement after several years together.
The two are known as one of the hottest couples today, although a source told People magazine that their separation is “a long time away.”
However, the couple looked perfectly happy just over two months ago, when Lopez brought the house down at Joe Biden’s opening ceremony.
The “Hustlers” star, 51, performed a mashup of Woody Guthrie’s beloved folk song, “This Land Is Your Land”, the patriotic anthem “America the Beautiful” and his own hit, “Let’s Get Loud”.

A few days after the performance, Rodriguez, the former MLB star, 45, took to Instagram to get excited about Lopez.
“I can’t stop thinking about Wednesday and Jen’s performance at # Inauguration2021,” he wrote online. “It was such an iconic moment – one I will never forget. I can’t express how proud I am of it and how privileged I was just to be there. It was really inspiring and so patriotic.”
He then explained the photo that accompanied the sweet message – a photo of Lopez holding a score while on a plane.

“On the flight home, she showed me the sheet of letters and the meaning of her performance really started to be absorbed,” continued Rodriguez. “Do you believe she was the first person to sing in Spanish at an inaugural event? Another historic and innovative achievement for one of the most talented and motivated people the world has ever seen.”
Although the high-profile ceremony was their last official public performance, the two were recently seen together at the Super Bowl last month and in the Dominican Republic, where JLo is filming his latest film, “Shotgun Wedding”.
The baseball star shared a photo of himself with the singer nestled outdoors at sunset on February 28.

“Perfection in the Dominican Republic!” read the caption, which translates to “Perfection in the Dominican Republic!”
Lopez shared a similar post with photos of her and her boyfriend enjoying each other’s company the day before.

His caption was also written in Spanish, translating to: “Happy Dominican Independence Day”.
The exact timing of the split was unclear, but the People source said that, because of their business problems, “it took them a while to think about how to fix everything.”

In addition, a source told the New York Post’s Page Six that lawyers have been working with ARod on dividing its assets “in the past few days”.
