Jennifer Lawrence injured on ‘Don’t Look Up’ set

Jennifer Lawrence was injured during the filming of her new film “Don’t Look Up”, when the glass exploded dramatically on the set and hit the star in the face, several sources told Page Six. Production was halted the day after the accident on Friday, sources said.

“An explosion was set up for an action in which glass shatters,” said a source. “It was a maneuver in which the glass was supposed to break – but it hurt it.”

We heard that Lawrence, 30, was injured when the glass struck her scarily near the eye. But other sources have told us that the mega-star must be fine.

People on the set were shaken by the accident, the sources added.

The film, co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was shot in Boston. Lawrence plays an astronomer who tries to sound the alarm that Earth’s security is being threatened by an approaching asteroid.

Lawrence, 30, has been almost unrecognizable while filming the film in Boston – and previously in New York – with a red wig like his character, Kate Dibiasky. In a recent scene, she was photographed wearing a Michigan state sweatshirt, while on the Manhattan set, she was in an elegant overcoat.

The A-list cast also includes Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Timothée Chalamet and Matthew Perry. The disastrous comedy is directed by Adam McKay, whose credits include “The Big Short” and “Vice”.

Representatives for Lawrence, Adam McKay and Netflix did not immediately comment.
