Jennifer Coolidge does not want to replace Kim Cattrall in the ‘SATC’ revival

Kim Cattrall is not returning to the revival of “Sex and the City”, which means that the role of Samantha Jones may be at stake.

Many fans have released names of different actresses and Jennifer Coolidge was in the mix. But she told Andy Cohen that she doesn’t like the idea.

“You know, I was a big, and still am, a big fan of ‘Sex and the City’. It’s one of those shows [that] you can just watch the reps and never know their timing, “Coolidge, 59, told Cohen in” Watch What Happens Live “on Thursday.

“But I have to say, I’m a huge fan of Kim Cattrall and I don’t see anyone being able to replace her in that part. It was just perfect – yes, I don’t think you can replace her,” she said.

‘SEX AND THE CITY’ RETURNING WITHOUT KIM CATTRALL

HBO Max announced on Monday that the series would return with a chapter entitled “And Just Like That …” and will feature Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York).

“The series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” explained a press release.

“Sex and the City” started as a television show in 1998 and ran until 2004 on HBO. The four best friends got together for two films, released in 2008 and 2010.

Another commentator suggested that Parker and Cattrall, 64, “don’t like each other” and Parker quickly closed the idea, replying, “No. I don’t like her. I never said that. I never would. Samantha isn’t [sic] part of this story. But she will always be part of us. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we do. X. “
