Jenna Bush Hager talked about her worst first date, revealing that her husband Henry Hager accidentally got into a fight with the Secret Service early in their relationship.
Today’s 39-year-old star shared the hilarious story with her co-host Hoda Kotb on Monday morning’s show in honor of Bachelor’s Appreciation Day, which falls on February 15.
“My worst first meeting involved the Secret Service, let’s leave it at that,” said the former First Daughter, laughing. “He was with Henry and his car ran out of gas, backed up and hit Secret Service.”

Jenna met Henry when he was working on her father George W. Bush’s 2004 presidential re-election campaign, and they got along.
She explained that their disastrous first meeting took place outside Washington, DC in Arlington, Virginia, where Henry lived at the time.
They were in the car when Henry realized he was running out of gas. He tried to drive to a nearby gas station, which was on a small hill – but failed.
“He started up the hill and then booooop, crash,” Jenna said with a laugh.

While she was still enjoying the situation more than a decade later, Hoda choked on hearing what happened.
– Were you scared or laughing? she asked.
‘I was laughing, but he was horrified,’ Jenna recalled.
The incident may have been a disruption of business for some people, but it seems that it brought the two together.

Jenna revealed last February that she was hopelessly in love with Henry that she proposed to him after only three months of dating – but he refused because she was too young.
Henry ended up proposing Jenna in 2007, and his mother, Maggie, told the Washington Post that he had asked President Bush for permission to marry his daughter.
The couple said ‘yes’ in May 2008 at the Bush family estate in Crawford, Texas.
Jenna and Henry welcomed their daughter Mila, now seven, five years later. They also have a five year old daughter, Poppy, and a one year old son, Hal.
