‘Jeepers Creepers: Reborn’ reaches 2021 release date

The Creeper is back and looking for blood.

“Jeepers Creepers: Reborn”, the fourth episode of the long horror franchise, sold worldwide distribution rights to Screen Media.

The studio plans to release the film in North America in the fall of 2021. Screen Media previously released “Jeepers Creepers 3.”

The last installment of the series is by director Timo Vuorensola, who has supervised the films “Céu de Ferro”. It is part of a new planned trilogy. The film was written by Sean Michael Argo (“Iconoclast”) and produced by Jake Seal (“Quantum of Solace”) from Orwo Studios & Black Hangar Studios and Michael Ohoven (“The Devil’s Rejects”) from Infinity Films.

Seth Needle, senior vice president of global acquisitions and coproductions at Screen Media, is an executive producer on behalf of the company.

Here is the logline: “The film is taking place as the Horror Hound festival hosts its first event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, crazy people and die-hard horror fans from everywhere. Among them are fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, who is forced to accompany them. But as the event approaches, Laine begins to experience unexplained premonitions and disturbing visions associated with the city’s past and, in particular, the local legend / urban myth The Creeper. As the festival arrives and the blood-soaked entertainment increases to a frenzy, Laine believes that something supernatural has been summoned … and that she is at the center of it. “

“Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” was filmed at Orwo Studios & Black Hangar Studios and on location in Jackson, Louisiana, in December and January. He is currently in post-production. Screen Media’s Creative Executive, Conor McAdam, is serving as an associate producer.

“As excited as we are, we know that fans will be even more thrilled (and chilled) to return to the world of Creeper, now with a much more frightening vision from director Timo Vuorensola, who is the perfect choice to restart this franchise,” said Screen Media in a statement.

The deal was negotiated by Needle for Screen Media with Seal on behalf of the production.

Also serving as executive producers are Jamie R. Thompson, Terry Bird, David Nagelberg, Danny Zamost, Michael Musante, Lee Broda, Matthew Kurtain, Karey Kurtain, Alastair Burlingham, Gary Raskin, Elizabeth Primm, Suraj Gohil, Mark Mariani, Janelle Mariani, Galen Rasmussen and Shannon Chandler.

Screen Media’s recent acquisitions include the comedies “Senior Moment” and “Off the Rails”, as well as Nicolas Cage’s “Willy’s Wonderland” and “The Outpost” by Rod Lurie.
