Britney Spears’ ex-husband was arrested in Nashville last month.
Sheriff’s officers charged Jason Alexander, 39, on Jan. 26 on three counts of misdemeanor: driving under the influence, illegal use of drug paraphernalia, and casual possession or exchange of a controlled substance, Page Six confirmed.
Spears, 39, was married to Alexander, her childhood friend, for 55 hours in 2004, after getting married in a Las Vegas chapel under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
“Alcohol is a drug. Coffee is a drug. Cigarettes are drugs, ”Alexander told ABC News in 2012.“ Yes, we were using drugs ”.
His marriage was immediately annulled.
Alexander also violated Tennessee’s implicit consent law, which means he refused to participate in a blood alcohol test.
Alexander was held on $ 2,500 bail and released from prison the same day. He has a hearing scheduled for April 30.
Although his brief marriage was left behind, Alexander still seems to care for the “Toxic” singer when he was spotted in a “Free Britney” protest, which was staged to fight his father’s control over his finances, during the summer.
“She definitely wants her father out of the picture when it comes to guardianship,” said Alexander on Instagram Live.
