Cam Newton made his 14th game for the Patriots this season. It will not end.
The Patriots replaced Newton with reserve Jarrett Stidham with 8:33 remaining in the third quarter and behind the Bills by 31-9.
Newton played only one series in the second half, with the Patriots having three and three consecutive races. So Newton ended his night at 5 out of 10 to 34 yards. He ran for a touchdown and 24 yards in four races.
Stidham, a fourth round pick in 2019, has played just four games this season.
He entered the game with 18 of 33 to 212 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions this year.
Stidham never started a game in his two-year career.
