Jarod Nandin, “South Park Guy” Cosplayer “Dies Due to COVID-19

Jarod Nandin, who was known to fans as the cosplayer “The South Park Guy”, died due to COVID-19. As reported by Wowhead, Nandin, who was known to the World of Warcraft community as NWBZPWNR, passed away after hiring COVID-19. Nandin revealed his initial condition with friends and family on Twitter on December 18, and after the officially positive test a few days later, unfortunately he passed. Nandin is known to many in the World of Warcraft community for faithfully recreating one of the most notorious jokes in South Park story.

Shaking a lot during BlizzCon 2013, Nandin cosplayed as the World of Warcraft gamer (“That Which Has No Life”) that was getting too strong for the game on South Park 10th season episode, “Make Love, Not Warcraft”. Not only cheating in certain ways and being aggressive towards new players, South Park finished with a look at the real version of the player – who sat in a chair at the computer.

Nandin really touched both World of Warcraft and South Park fans when he arrived at BlizzCon 2013 in a cosplay that completely reflected this joke character. Nandin was so right on the look that he quickly won over fans and became the “South Park guy” in fact for many, as he would go so far as to shave the top of his head to complete the ridiculous look. Because although it may have been a way of South Park to scoff, Nandin took it to the next level and regained the look in a hilarious new way.

ComicBook.com offers our condolences to Jarod Nandin’s family, friends and loved ones right now. Members of World of Warcraft and the cosplay community also shared their tributes:
