Jared Leto reveals that Oscar disappeared three years ago: “Somehow, he just magically disappeared”

Jared Leto may have won an Oscar in 2014, but the fate of his gold statuette remains a mystery.

Appearing on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Tuesday, Leto revealed that he lost his valuable asset when he moved to a new home in Los Angeles, California.

“I didn’t know that – I don’t think anyone wanted to tell me,” said Leto, 49, to Corden. “But I had moved out of LA and then when we moved, somehow, it just magically disappeared.”

“It may be somewhere, but everyone is looking for high and low,” continued the lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars. “I hope you are in good hands wherever you are. We haven’t seen you in a long time.”

When Corden pressed Leto about whether someone really has the prize in his possession, Leto remained hopeful of its existence.

“I think it’s a good possibility, it’s not something that someone accidentally throws in the trash,” replied Leto. “I hope someone is taking care of it. I remember the night I won, I passed it on to so many people”

“It was wrinkled and scratched, but people had fun taking pictures with it. It’s good to share it, so I hope someone is taking good care of it, ”concluded Leto.
