Neither the Rams nor the Lions can comment on the sales success that will send Matthew Stafford to Los Angeles and Jared Goff to Detroit until the deal becomes official at the start of the new league year.
But Goff gave two moving interviews, saying he hopes it will be good for his career.
Now he is taken to social media to officially say goodbye to his old city and say hello to the new one.
“Thank you to the entire city of Los Angeles for welcoming a 21 year old child with open arms and making this city feel at home”Said Goff. “This city has shaped the man I have become and I will be forever grateful for the Kroenke family, my coaches, the support team and, most importantly, my teammates for competing and fighting with me every Sunday – I kept memories with each of you in that changing room that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
“For the fans, thank you for your relentless support through all the ups and downs – it meant the world to me. From the bottom of my heart, it is an honor to represent the city of LA
“With that said, I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter and I’m ready to tackle this new opportunity to come. Detroit, here I come. “
