Japanese Monster Hunter Rise commercials will teach you about hunting

A new series of Monster Hunter Rise commercials were launched in Japan. These short commercials feature a short story focused on introducing new players to the hunt. Japanese actress Tsubasa Honda takes center stage and plays the role of teacher in these semi-absurd sketches. There are currently two commercials available, each elaborating the unique story of these Monster Hunter Rise commercials. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

As mentioned earlier, these commercials are on the side of absurd comedy. The first commercial shows Honda entering a classroom full of students wielding a long sword. She then cringes to stand in front of the switch and explain the mechanics of the wirebug to the viewer. You can watch the first commercial below.

The second commercial still maintains the same tone as the first and continues the story. However, this time take a look at the multiplayer mode. Honda clippings and a family are shown on the screen while the four engage in a cooperative game. Up to four players will be able to team up to face monsters, with each player being able to face a teammate with them. You can watch the second Monster Hunter Rise commercial below.

Monster Hunter Rise will have several free title updates, one of which adds Chameleos to the list of monsters. Hunter Rank Cap will also be removed in the April 2021 Free Title Update.

Monster Hunter Rise will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021.
