Before we get into that, I would like to clarify that the following question is purely hypothetical, just a small and strange one and whether it has been dripping into my brain space for the last hour or so: How many cats, if any, can do EDM Elon Musk, the artist and CEO of Tesla, “owes” celebrity to brother Jamie Lynn Spears? A cat? Two cats? Three to four cats? Zero cats, really no cats to talk to? Hm!
I have been wondering about this supposed debt because of a video message Jamie Lynn (Nickelodeon star who became a country singer and Britney Spears’ younger sister) posted on Instagram on Friday. She has since deleted the footage, but not before arriving at TMZ: according to the gossip site, Jamie Lynn told his followers that Musk “I must[s]”Her“ two cats ”, substitutes for the pets she apparently lost to her very quiet smart car.
“Tesla is a secret cat killer and it’s a problem that we really need to fix,” she said. “Now we lose, nor do I mean how many cats, because they don’t hear Tesla’s crank and unfortunate things happen and it’s really devastating and tragic for everyone involved.”
Jamie Lynn allegedly suggested that Tesla add “one of those noises that annoy a cat or animal’s ears when it increases so that they know something is going on and are not caught off guard and things don’t end in a tragic way.” CNN, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has required electric car manufacturers to equip their vehicles to make “the noise level your dishwasher makes” since September 2020, “to ensure that blind, visually impaired and other pedestrians are able to detect and recognize nearby hybrid and electric vehicles. ” Still, Jamie Lynn concluded his video message by saying, “Elon Musk, let’s find this out. You owe me some cats. “
This disclosure did not go well online, where some observers called the 29-year-old was a “serial cat killer” and encouraged her to simply use the car’s cameras or make noise before entering or leaving areas where cats can hide. In a follow-up video, which she later deleted, but which TMZ again preserved, Jamie Lynn said she is “fully aware that there is a user error involved in this”, but would still be willing to collaborate “to save the some cats’ lives. ”She then came back a third time, E! reports, writing in an Instagram story:
1.) I didn’t run over any cats. 2.) TESLA is not to blame and never intended to be 3.) User error is admittedly involved. 4.) We always check for animals before moving a vehicle. 5.) I was just making a suggestion about something I think would be extremely useful, and @teslamotors geniuses are the best to go.
On the other hand, TMZ also recorded a clip of their stories in which their daughter, Ivey, says that her cat, Turkey, “went to Jesus”, so that’s it. For his part, Musk does not appear to have commented on the undisclosed number of cats allegedly owed.
