Jamie Lynn Spears had some chosen words for Elon Musk and his car company, Tesla, after first appearing to blame the vehicles for killing their cats.
Britney Spears’ 29-year-old sister said in an Instagram video now excluded that her cats were run over by a Tesla because the cats couldn’t hear the car coming.
“Now we lose – I don’t mean how many cats – because they don’t hear Tesla’s crank and unfortunate things happen and it’s really devastating and tragic for everyone involved,” said Spears in the video.
She called Tesla “a secret cat killer” and explained how cars should be equipped with “noises that bother the ears of cats or animals when it increases, so that they know that something is happening and are not caught off guard and things like that don’t end in a very tragic way. ”

“Elon Musk, let’s get this sorted out,” added Spears. “You owe me some cats.”
In a later video, the former Nickelodeon star stepped back in some of her comments and clarified that she “didn’t run over any cats” and that Tesla “is not to blame”.

Spears added: “I was just making a suggestion about something that I think would be extremely useful, and the @Teslamotors geniuses are the best ones to turn to on this issue.”
Tesla’s electric cars don’t make as much noise as gasoline-powered ones, and some people argue that this endangers vision and hearing for people with hearing impairments.
