A week after Jeremy Pruitt’s dismissal from Tennessee after a tumultuous three-season term ended amid an investigation into NCAA violations that also led to the departure of nine other employees, it is a good time to see what the Vols search is looking to like.
In the seven days since the move was made, Tennessee has hired UCF athletic director Danny White as its new AD to replace retired Phillip Fulmer and take over the search, a change that may give Tennessee some necessary influence to try to attract greater name.
The search for training that led Fulmer to Pruitt was a mess of epic proportions. Now, whoever gets that job will take on a program mired in scandal and preparing for NCAA penalties.
