James Corden, Patti LuPone, More Sing Farewell to Trump Presidency in Les Misérables Parody

On the eve of Donald Trump’s departure from the White House, The Late Late Show with James Corden welcomed several Broadway favorites to present a new version of “One Day More” by The miserable. Check out Corden, along with Patti LuPone and Matt Lucas as anti-maskers, above.

Joshua Grosso, Jillian Butler, Emily Bautista and Kyle Scatliffe also participated in the presentation, along with Tony winner Shuler Hensley.

Scrolling through a list of Trump’s antics during his tenure, the stars say goodbye to angry tweets, baseless allegations of electoral fraud and conspiracy theories in Parler. Inside The miserable, “One Day More” is followed by a revolt that has become violent, so I hope this parody is not very much on the nose.

The last week of the Trump presidency saw a flurry of nightly farewells, including Laura Benanti’s impression of Melania Trump in a tribute to NYC à la Beautiful and the Beast.
