James Corden celebrates parody of Trump’s’ One Day More ‘Les Misérables’

James Corden celebrated Trump’s last day in office with a parody of “Les Misérables”, number “One Day More”, with a series of Broadway stars.

In the video, which aired during Tuesday’s episode of “The Late Late Show”, Corden arrives at work in a good mood due to the imminent inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. After seeing Trump appear on a TV screen, Corden begins to sing: “One more day / Trump’s last day as president / The White House has a new resident / It’s been four years of endless crimes / But now he’s finally gone of time.”

As the music grows, the cast members of “Les Misérables” from the past and the present join the fray, including Patti LuPone, Matt Lucas, Joshua Grosso, Jillian Butler, Emily Bautista, Kyle Scatliffe and Shuler Hensley.

Together, the troupe sings: “Enough days of angry tweets (because this time he was banned forever) / Send him to Mar-a-Lago (Do they want him there?) / Biden better change the sheets ( Maybe throw the bed away) / Will you change the locks with me? “

LuPone and Lucas arrive halfway, dressed as Trump supporters and singing a duet with lyrics like: “We won’t wear a mask / This is our right / In your Trader Joe / Let’s start a viral fight / Don Don’t take our weapons / We protect the peace / If you call us Karens / Let’s call the police. “

The video ends with a Trump speech playing, and Corden simply turning off his myriad of televisions. See the full parody below.
