James Bond Pic ‘No Time To Die’ Postpones Release To Fall

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th film in the iconic spy franchise returns Daniel Craig in the lead role. MGM, Eon Productions and Universal are supporting the mainstay.

In early 2020, No time to die it became the first supporting pillar of Hollywood to become a victim of the COVID-19 crisis when its original April 2020 release date was postponed to November 2020 (later postponed to April 2021).

The film – marking Daniel Craig’s final turn as 007 – also features returnees from Bond Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz, along with franchise debutants Rami Malek, Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch . Billie Eilish recorded the title track.

MGM is dealing No time to die domestically via United Artists Releasing, while Universal has international distribution obligations.

They are also partners in Addams Family sequence, which was scheduled to open on October 8. It is now scheduled for October 1st.

Universal separately made several other changes to its calendar, including pushing back No one from February 26 to April 2021, and the title Focus Feature by Edgar Wright Night spent in Soho from April 23 to October 22.

The studio also announced the first release date for the thriller directed by Michael Bay Ambulance, which is set for February 18, 2022.
