Conor McGregor had a rough night on Saturday and no one could have liked more than a Jake Paul.

Paul was first in line to mock McGregor after the MMA star’s defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on Saturday night, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. The YouTuber / aspiring boxer has been relentlessly teasing McGregor in an effort to schedule a fight with the Irishman for more than a month. – even offering $ 50 million to face each other in the ring.

Well, after McGregor’s crushing defeat in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, Paul apparently decided to renegotiate the terms of his offer. In a video posted on Instagram, Paul briefly stopped laughing at McGregor long enough to let him know that he is now offering only $ 10,000 for the fight.

I’m not sure if McGregor’s value suffered much on Saturday, but Paul certainly wouldn’t miss the opportunity to take a disrespectful victory lap after McGregor’s defeat.

Earlier in the week, McGregor called Paul “a confused little boy” in response to repeated taunts, so it must be interesting to see how he responds to this latest mockery. If Paul is really planning a fight with McGregor (perhaps as a continuation of his brother’s potential fight against Floyd Mayweather), then the $ 10,000 offer will not be taken seriously.

Paul is clearly eager to get on McGregor’s radar and fight in an effort to elevate and legitimize his own boxing career. The 24-year-old recently fought with former NBA star Nate Robinson and delivered a brutal knockout in the second round to improve to 2-0 professionally.
