The Jacksonville Jaguars will need more than just this draft to get their team back in shape.

Competing will not be the name of the game next season. It will be a year of reconstruction. Trevor Lawrence is not going to change that. However, the Jaguars have four choices in the first two rounds of the NFL’s 2021 Draft. I don’t anticipate that the team will trade up or down for anyone, but I wouldn’t rule that out either. I think the Jags will take what they have received and select the best potential customers available based on the need … which happens in almost every position.

That said, here’s my draft of the NFL’s seven rounds of 2021 for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jaguars arrest Lawrence with primary choice

No surprises here, huh?

Trevor Lawrence is the best potential quarterback since Andrew Luck. We all said that last year about Joe Burrow, but if I could describe Trevor Lawrence as a player, he is like a reasonably mobile Peyton Manning. Scary, right?

Lawrence can make any move on the field. He effortlessly stretches through his pocket movement, and he can shuffle and toss coins by running down the sideline like an experienced pro. All he needs to do is work to get through his progressions in a more timely manner, and he can be an All-Pro sooner or later.

Gardner Minshew is not the answer, nor is Mike Glennon. It is a no-brainer here to take the future of the franchise with the number one choice.
