Urban Meyer seems to have his offensive coordinator.
Jaguars are expected to hire Darrell Bevell as their new offensive coordinator, according to the NFL Network.
Bevell ended the 2020 season as an interim Lions coach. Prior to that, he had 15 years of experience as an offensive coordinator with the Vikings, Seahawks and Lions.
It is noteworthy that Meyer is hiring an offensive coordinator with extensive experience in the NFL. Meyer has no experience in the NFL as a player or as a coach, but he said he does not think there are any major differences in the training of the Xs and Os, whether in college or in professionals.
The Jaguars also hired assistant NFL coach Joe Cullen as a defensive coordinator.
