The Jaguars won first overall pick in the 2021 draft of the NFL on Sunday, but the likely arrival of Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is not the only reason for optimism in Jacksonville.

In addition to the first choice in the draft, the Jaguars have a boat full of extra choices acquired in business, plus more wage cap space than any other team in 2021.

Jaguars have the choice of Rams in the first and fourth round of the Jalen Ramsey trade. The Jaguars also have the choice of the second round of the Vikings in exchange for Yannick Ngakoue, and the choice of the fifth round of the Browns in exchange for Ronnie Harrison.

And at a time when much of the NFL hopes to have little space at the limit, the Jaguars enter the off-season of 2021 with about $ 75 million at the top of the league, according to OverTheCap.com.

So it’s not just about Lawrence. It is also about having the resources to build a good team around Lawrence. Jaguars can be loaded with talent for years to come.
