Jackson Health starts public vaccination campaign COVID-19

MIAMI – The Jackson Health System began providing the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday to patients who are 65 and older.

The public health system will receive an additional 15,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which will be administered to the elderly, according to Lidia Amoretti, a spokesman for the Jackson Health System.

The system is also gearing up to launch an online platform to allow Miami-Dade County residents over 65 to make appointments to receive the vaccine.

Also in Miami-Dade, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach is providing the vaccine to seniors aged 75 and over. For more information, call 305-674-2312.
