Jack Dorsey is trying to sell his first tweet as an NFT

Jack Dorsey, the billionaire co-founder and CEO of Twitter, a man who stans bitcoin straight into your Twitter biography, is trying to sell its first tweet as an NFT – a digital asset that lives on the Ethereum blockchain.

You are probably familiar with the famous tweet, “configuring my twttr”:

Despite the fact that this tweet is publicly available as a free digital item to look at whenever someone has wanted to for almost 15 years, Dorsey is now trying to sell it as an NFT, or “non-fungible token”, through a platform called Valuables .

As you might expect, the bid is already over $ 80,000.

What does it really mean to “buy” this tweet? “What you are buying is a digital certificate for the tweet, unique because it was signed and verified by the creator,” according to the Valuables FAQ.

In other words, an autograph. You are buying an autograph.

The tweet will remain on the Internet as long as Dorsey and Twitter, the company, decide to keep it.
