The iPhone 12 is only a few months old, but rumors about the iPhone 13 are already around.

Next Apple Iphone it could have a sharper screen that is useful at first glance, to keep up with some new camera features and a smoother refresh rate. Well-known technology expert Max Weinbach shared this information via YouTube’s EverythingApplePro channel on Sunday. Nothing is official, but according to Weinbach, the iPhone 13 it will have an OLED screen always active with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The always-on feature will be similar to current Android phones. Weinbach called it an “attenuated lock screen” with minimal customization. The clock and battery charge will always be visible and notifications will appear temporarily when they arrive, he said.

OLED makes this possible, as the iPhone will be able to send power only to the pixels needed to display the relevant information, rather than illuminating the entire screen to display anything, which is necessary with the iPhone’s current LCD technology. The 120 Hz refresh rate can be limited to iPhone 13 Pro models.

In addition to the new screen technology, Weinbach also detailed some camera updates. Portrait mode is supposed to be available for videos. When taking pictures, Portrait mode blurs the background of the image. Newer iPhones will apparently be able to maintain that focus on a moving subject in the form of video. The camera will also have a mode dedicated to astrophotography, so you can take great pictures of the stars.

Weinbach does not expect many changes in the physical structure of the current iPhone 12 to the next iPhone 13, except that the backs of the phones could be more comfortable and easier to hold. He also said that the MagSafe magnets that attach the phone to chargers and other accessories will be stronger, so the accessories will stay in place.

Apple did not confirm any of these details and did not immediately respond to CNET’s request for comment.

We hope that the next Apple iPhone will be released in the fall, as usual. Here it is everything else we know and hope about the iPhone 13.
