Isaiah Stewart ejected for a shot at Blake Griffin that Griffin sold in the style of Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin returned to Detroit for the first time since he was bought by the team and picked up the Brooklyn Nets. Griffin was obviously energized and had his best game as a net in the team’s 113-111 victory. Blake had 17 points and a good dunk in the alley. He also sold several calls, a Blake specialty, including one that caused newcomer Isaiah Stewart to be kicked out of the game.

Griffin recently announced a new prank show to air on TruTV, and I feel that tonight may have been a perfect segment. It all started when Griffin elbowed Stewart in the scrum after a free throw.

Stewart, who has shown that he is not willing to back an inch from anyone this season, was not kind and gave Blake’s facial region an open hand or a little forearm push.

Blake, always the artist, sells the movement well to make sure he gets the call.

This resulted in a technical foul by Blake and a blatant, automatic ejection-2 for Isaiah Stewart. They didn’t explain the connection on the floor, but I think it’s because it was an intentional blow to the head, although much smoother than Griffin made it look.

I don’t really blame Blake here. Selling contact has always been part of your game. He will always seek contact and ensure that he is recognized.

After the game, Casey said Stewart needs to get to know each other better.

“You cannot be attracted to a situation like this. Understand your opponent and how he plays. Great learning experience. Fortunately, he learns from it, ”said Casey.

But an expulsion for Stewart here was excessive. The game had already seen three techniques to this point, including Blake’s during this play, so I think the referees were desperate to get the game under control, but come on. I’m not even sure if Blake felt that love pat from Stewart.

If Isaiah Stewart wants you to feel something in retaliation, I’m sure he has something else in mind. The guy is built like a tank.
