Is the next free PlayStation Plus game just provoked?

A new rumor has emerged that may give us an idea of what a future addition to PlayStation Plus might end up becoming. While it is by no means a guarantee that this title in mention can go to PS Plus, it looks like it could at least be made available for free in the future.

In a new cryptic tweet from Nick Baker on Twitter, the 2019 launch of Activision and FromSoftware Sekiro: the shadows die twice It looks like it may soon be available for free to some users. Although Baker did not offer many details, he encouraged those who were interested in learning Sekiro maybe postpone buying the game “in the next few months or so”. Clearly, he seems to have some kind of inside information about the possibilities for the title to be made available for free.

The reason this could be a PlayStation Plus-related provocation is because Baker has provided reliable information in the past about games that were going to Sony’s service. Before being formally announced by PlayStation, Baker was one of the first to suggest what Final Fantasy VII Remake it would be one of the free games that would enter PS Plus in March. As such, it would not be surprising if he also knew what could happen to the service in the coming months.

That said, Baker may also be provoking here that Sekiro: the shadows die twice may be coming to the Xbox Game Pass. Baker’s experience is actually much more involved with the Xbox brand, as he hosts a podcast and helps manage a website dedicated to the platform. With that in mind, it is difficult to say which location Sekiro it could be coming, but even so, it looks like it could be made available for free sometime in 2021. As usual, however, consider all of this carefully until we can hear more at a later date.

So, what do you think of this provocation? And which avenue do you prefer to see Sekiro: the shadows die twice come to – PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter at @ MooreMan12 if you would like to chat more.
