Is it time to end rumors about Deshaun Watson’s trade in Miami?

The NFL media world was in turmoil last week when rumors broke out in Houston. According to reports, QB Deshaun Watson he was unhappy with the way the Texans administration handled GM’s search. The buzz got even louder when Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that Deshaun Watson would consider an exchange with the Miami Dolphins. PFN Insider Benjamin Allbright closed the rumors about Deshaun Watson this week in PFN Quick Slants.

What the PFN is hearing about Deshaun Watson and Miami

“I don’t think he is likely to move. All they told me was that they would not change it. “

Further extinguishing the flames of Deshaun Watson for Miami trade rumors, Allbright continued with information he received from a source.

“That same source told me that they were not negotiating Deshaun Watson. I pressed that person for a chance. Hypothetically, what would it take to move Deshaun Watson into a vacuum? He said it would take three first, three seconds, and a Pro Bowl player would start the conversation. So the idea that you’re going to get Watson for Tua and one and the other is ridiculous. This is not happening. You will not get Deshaun Watson for less than it cost Jamal Adams. Deshaun Watson would require an absolute boat load to obtain it now. He’s not even in the bloc and has a no-trade clause, so he would have to give that up. “

Three choices in the first round.

Three choices in the second round.

A player of the Pro-Bowl caliber.

Just to start the conversation with Deshaun Watson. An agreement similar to Eric Dickerson and Herschel Walker would probably be necessary for Watson to wear a different shirt.

Why did trade rumors arise between Deshaun Watson and Miami?

The news first appeared when the Texans hired Nick Caserio as their GM. Reports emerged that Deshaun Watson was frustrated with the team’s process for two reasons. First, he did not involve Watson as promised. Second, the decision was hijacked by Jack Easterby.

Allbright also discussed some of these issues.

“I talked to some people back in Houston while all of this was going on. I will say that. First, the Texans’ organization claims that they tried to contact him [Watson], but he was on vacation or inaccessible and has not yet returned to them … All we are hearing is a side of [argument] and I’m trying to show the other side so that we are all on the same page ”.

Another source of frustration was the lack of traction with Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy. Allbright said the players believed Eric Bieniemy was the favorite for the Texan coach.

However, Jack Easterby initially refused to even entertain Bieniemy, as the Texans did not request an interview for him. On the other hand, with the new GM Nick Caserio at the helm, they are interviewing many coaches who have worked with Bieniemy, such as Leslie Frazier. They may be examining members of your team and trying to find out more about Bieniemy.

Allbright also refuted a report that said Eric Bieniemy was not interested in the Texans’ work.

Banging heads in the Texans building on HC

Allbright discussed how there appears to be growing tension in the building, in addition to Deshaun Watson’s trade rumors about the Texans’ next HC. When discussing rumors about Josh McDaniels being the next Texans HC, Allbright talked about some of the tension that was going on there.

“Well, I don’t think [hiring Josh McDaniels] it’s Nick Caserio’s decision, but certainly Jack Easterby’s. I do not think [Texans Owner] Cal McNair wants that to happen. You have to think that he definitely doesn’t want to be labeled the ‘Patriots South’. I definitely think Caserio would be open to that, as he has a positive relationship with Josh McDaniels, but I don’t think that’s how they will go ”.

Easterby wants one thing, McNair wants another and Caserio is kind of in the middle. Allbright also described the Texans’ dressing room as “toxic” now.

Allbright mentioned that the Texans seem to be building a potential team before they even enter the interview with Eric Bieniemy. It can be difficult to be a little sneaky with technical positions and fill Bieniemy’s team before he is hired.
