Iowa passes 180,000 completed vaccinations while active cases of COVID-19 drop to less than 15,000

IOWA

(KWWL) – There were 452 new cases confirmed from 10am Monday to 10am Tuesday, according to the state panel, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 336,963.

The state website reports that of the 336,963 people who tested positive, 316,843 recovered. That is 1,395 more recoveries than the state reported on Monday.

The death toll in the state is 5,498, 26 more than reported yesterday.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (316,843) and the number of deaths (5,498) from the total number of cases (336,963), we see that there are currently 14,622 positive positive cases in the state.

As of Tuesday morning, there were 34 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 209, an increase from 197 hospitalized the day before. Of these, 39 are in the ICU (below 48) and 11 are on ventilators (below 15).

In Iowa, there were 2,662 people tested in the last 24 hours and a total of 1,561,855 people were tested for COVID-19.

According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine panel, 684,428 total doses were administered to Iowa residents and 180,585 individuals completed the series, which is 1,710 more than on Monday. You can view the dashboard for more data. You can find more information and stories about vaccines here.

BLACK HAWK COUNTY

The Black Hawk County panel was not yet updated on Tuesday.

From 10am on Monday, the Black Hawk COVID-19 panel is presenting 4 new cases since 10 am on Sunday, leaving a total of 15,905 cases. There were 7 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 14,107. There was an additional death, leaving a total of 291 deaths. In Black Hawk County, 6,149 residents were fully vaccinated.

LINN COUNTY

From 10am on Tuesday, the Linn County COVID-19 panel is presenting 22 new cases since 10 am on Monday, leaving a total of 19,447 cases. There were 54 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 17,836 recoveries. There was an additional death, leaving a total of 327 deaths in the county. Currently, there are 15 patients admitted to the municipality. In Linn County, 14,172 residents were fully vaccinated.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According status panel At 10 am on Tuesday, there are 11 new positive cases reported in Johnson County since 10 am on Monday. This brings the total to 13,092 reported cases. There were a total of 12,446 recoveries, 40 more reported than yesterday. There was an additional death, leaving a total of 74. In Johnson County, 14,421 residents were fully vaccinated.

DUBBLE COUNTY

According status panel at 10 am on Tuesday, there were 7 additional positive cases reported in Dubuque County since 10 am on Monday. This brings the total to 12,388 reported cases. There were 42 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 11,706. There were no additional deaths reported, leaving a total of 194. In Dubuque County, 7,670 residents were fully vaccinated.
