IOS 14.5 beta 3 is available on the Apple developer web portal. It doesn’t appear to have been released yet, so you may not see it through the Settings app.
iOS 14.5 beta 3
IOS 14.5 beta 3 will soon be available to developers via an over-the-air update in the Settings app. The build number for today’s update is 18E5164h.
In addition to iOS 14.5 beta 3, Apple also released the third iPadOS 14.5 developer beta. There are no updates for Apple TV or Apple Watch yet.
IOS 14.5 includes a variety of new changes and features, including the ability to unlock the iPhone with the Apple Watch, which we cover in detail here. IOS 14.5 beta 2 brought additional changes, including a variety of new features in the Music app.
Today’s release of iOS 14.5 beta 3 will likely continue to make improvements to all of these features. We except Apple to slow down the addition of new features to iOS 14.5 and instead focus on refinement. The update is likely to be released to the general public this spring, along with the privacy features of App Tracking Transparency.
