Ioan Gruffudd’s wife announces that the actor is ‘leaving his family’ on Twitter

Ioan Gruffudd and his wife, Alice Evans, are apparently breaking up after 13 years of marriage.

The 49-year-old actress revealed the news via Twitter on Monday night writing how the Welsh actor, 47, left his family.

“Sad news. My 20-year-old husband / soul mate, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced that he will be leaving his family starting next week,” she wrote in the deleted tweet according to Page Six.

“Me and our daughters are very confused and sad,” revealed Evans, quoted by the vehicle. “We were not given a reason, except that he ‘doesn’t love me anymore.'”

Evans added, “And hell, yes, when I’m being gas-fired and mentally tortured, then hell, yes, I’ll do my laundry in public.”

When one fan commented about Evans’ tweets, calling them “weirdos”, someone else commented, “I did the same thing when it happened to me. I think it’s like recognizing that there is no way back to what existed before. Accepting that, publicly stating, helps you recognize the impossibility of reconciliation. “

To which Evans replied, “That’s exactly why. And thank you. Six months of harassment: yes / no / maybe. I can’t live like this anymore.”

So she added, “Why? I lost my mind.”

Gruffudd’s Twitter account is set to private. An actor’s representative did not immediately return Fox News’s request for comment.

In an interview with The Guardian in February 2020, the star of the “Fantastic Four” implied that his busy work schedule and long periods away from home damaged his marriage.

Gruffudd said Evans “fought for the past four years, making time for each other because we are physically apart”.

“Alice was back, she had been gone for a week. I was showing off – ‘the kids are in bed’ – and she was [like], ‘Yes, you did a week [alone], try six months, “” he said at the time.
