The Intel website says that the M1 benchmarks on the Apple Mac do not “translate into real-world usage” and that when compared to PCs with 11th-generation Intel chips, the features of the “1M1” MacBook simply “don’t compare.

Intel positions PCs as more “customized” to meet the user’s “specific hardware and software needs”, while M1 Macs support “limited” devices, games and authoring applications. “The end result is that a PC offers users a choice, something that users don’t get with a Mac,” says the website.
PCs offer a “full touch screen” instead of the “restricted Mac touch bar”, along with “2 by 1 form factor options”, while Apple makes customers pay for “multiple devices and equipment”. The site highlights specific software, such as Topaz Labs’ AI-based content creation tools, which are supposed to be faster on 11th generation Intel Core chips and faster Chrome performance.
