Intel launched an incredibly deceptive ‘PC Vs. Mac ‘

As part of its advertising campaign to attack Apple’s new M1 processor, Intel has launched a new ‘PC Vs. Mac ‘that paves the way to convince visitors that a PC outperforms the Mac.

Identified by MacRumors, the new site tries to point out flaws in both the M1 chip and macOS as an operating system.

The Intel website says that the Apple Mac M1 benchmarks do not “translate into real-world usage” and that, when compared to PCs with 11th-generation Intel chips, the M1 MacBook’s features “just don’t stack up.”

The site tries to argue that “the PC offers users a choice, something that users don’t get with a Mac”.

Intel positions PCs as more “customized” to meet the user’s “specific hardware and software needs”, while M1 Macs support “limited” creative devices, games and applications. “The end result is that a PC offers users a choice, something that users don’t get with a Mac,” says the website.

The site continues to point out that there are fully touchscreen PCs while criticizing the Mac for the Touch Bar.

PCs offer a “full touch screen” instead of the “restricted Mac touch bar”, along with “2 by 1 form factor options”, while Apple makes customers pay for “multiple devices and equipment”. The site highlights specific software, such as Topaz Labs’ AI-based content creation tools, which are supposed to be faster on 11th generation Intel Core chips and faster Chrome performance.

The new website is part of a new campaign by Intel in its attempts to regain balance after Apple shocked the processing world with its new M1 chip for Mac. The company recruited Justin Long, the actor who played the Mac guy in old Mac vs PC ads from Apple, to now try to influence customers in the opposite direction.

It is unclear how the campaign will go, especially as the company is struggling to reach not only Apple, but also AMD in terms of processing technology.
