Mets right-handed Carlos Carrasco will pause his pitching regime until next week, coach Luis Rojas revealed to reporters on Wednesday (Twitter topic via Athletic’s Tim Britton). Carrasco reported some pain in the elbow, although Rojas said the organization is not very concerned at the moment. The longtime righty Indian says he has experienced similar pains at a similar point in spring training in the past. For the time being, the club hopes to have Carrasco tackle live hitters again by the end of next week. Jordan Yamamoto, Joey Lucchesi, Sam McWilliams and Sean Reid-Foley all represent 40-man depth options. Carrasco, 34 at the end of this month, was one of the most notable additions to the Mets off-season.
