Injuries to Aaron Donald and Jared Goff a big blow to the odds

The Rams are going into the second round of the playoffs, but they may face some difficult problems in the games to come. As impressive as their performance against the Seahawks was, they were unable to leave the game unscathed.

At the moment, three of Rams’ highest paid players are injured. During the win against Seattle, Aaron Donald injured his ribs and Cooper Kupp suffered a non-contact leg injury at the end of the game. Jared Goff was sitting on the bench behind John Wolford while recovering from thumb surgery that happened two weeks ago, but Wolford was injured with a concussion during the game.

This is creating a very difficult situation for the Rams. The team and their doctors will find out what will happen to Wolford, Goff, Donald and Kupp in the coming days. In the meantime, the Rams must be sweating a little with their current injury situation. The Rams defense is undoubtedly the caliber of the championship and it would be unfortunate to have a series of bad luck to undermine your post-season hopes.

On his early return from thumb surgery, Goff completed just nine of his 19 attempts to pass for 155 yards and a touchdown. It will be difficult to sustain playoff victories with this type of production.

Then the Rams will play with the Packers, Buccaneers or Washington Football Team (let’s be realistic, they will probably play against the Packers). Obviously, they would like to be in full force for these games. If they can stay healthy, or at least to a place where these guys are on the field, Rams has the talent to go deep into the playoffs.

If Wolford and Goff can’t make it, Blake Bortles will have some playtime in the postseason. Bortles had a good stretch during the Jaguars race for the AFC Championship 2017 game, but that is not something to be trusted.
