Gems and geodes have ways of surprising us. From rainbow crystals to heart-shaped amethysts, these rocks prove that you can never be sure what you will find when you open them. One of the latest unexpected discoveries is a pair of Cookie Monster twins in an agate from Brazil. Gemstone collector Mike Bowers, with the help of Lucas Fassari, dug up the rock in which the famous Sesame Street character was hidden. The resemblance to the beloved doll is incredible – even the blue face, silly smile and big, wide eyes.

The rare mineral Muppet was hidden in a small volcanic rock shaped like an egg. It gave no indication that, once opened, there would be two perfect recreations of the Cookie Monster coated with sapphire quartz. To announce this fabulous discovery, Bowers made a revealing video on Instagram with the now iconic song “C is for Cookie” sung by the candy king himself.

For now, Bowers is keeping Cookie Monsters just for him. But if and when he decides to sell the peculiar pair, he is looking for lots of cookies. Due to the rare stone and the similarity to the character, people are willing to pay more than $ 10,000 for the chance to own the set.

Jewelry collector Mike Bowers revealed a twin Cookie Monsters pair in an agate from Brazil – for the song “C is for Cookie”, of course!
