Iman is paying tribute to her late husband David Bowie on what would have been the rock icon’s 74th birthday.

Over the weekend, the 65-year-old star shared several Instagram posts in honor of Bowie, with whom she was married from 1992 until he died of liver cancer in 2016.

On Saturday, Iman, who shares 20-year-old daughter Lexi Jones with Bowie, shared an old photo of Bowie kissing her on the forehead while the two were under a Prada umbrella. “Kisses on the forehead are kisses for the soul. #EternalLove #BowieForever”, she captions the post.

And on Sunday, she shared a photo of a drawing, which she signed and dated. “January 10 #IMANart #EternalEmbrace #EternalLove #BowieForever”, wrote Iman.

Naomi Campbell also shared a photo back in honor of Bowie.

“DAVID BOWIE FOREVER: Dad and I playing gooseberries with Queen @the_real_iman !! Value all the beautiful moments with you two RIP ♥ ️🕊🙏🏾 #KING # LEGEND # BRIXTONBOY #SOUTHLONDON 🇬🇧”, she wrote.

Iman recently reflected on his romance with Bowie in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar United Kingdom, in which she said she will “never” marry again.

“David is in our hearts and minds daily, for all of us,” she told the outlet. “You know, this was my true love. My daughter once asked me if I would get married again and I said, ‘never’. ‘

Iman continued: “He is hiding in plain sight. His fans are still around, his music is still relevant. And the day he died, I took a walk and a blue bird flew in front of me. A blue bird , Above all ! “

The supermodel also said that her relationship with the “Heroes” singer “was a really daily wedding.”

“He was a very funny and warm gentleman – you know, everybody talks about him being futuristic, but no, he wasn’t, he liked more than anything to wear a three-piece suit,” said Iman of Bowie. “It was a beautiful, normal life and that was what was great. We could live in New York, pick up our daughter from school, walk everywhere … You know, I wish I had more years.”

Last year, on the fourth anniversary of his death, Iman shared a touching message, recalling his favorite moments with Bowie. “Sometimes, memories slip out of my eyes and roll over my face,” she wrote at the time.

Iman also shared a photo of a painting in honor of her husband. The artwork, which the model captioned as “Blue Bird, January 10,” showed a bird flying over the ocean with a sunrise in the background.
