Former President Donald Trump said President Joe Biden “was not telling the truth or was mentally insane” when he said in a town hall on Tuesday that there were no COVID-19 vaccines when his government took office.
In an interview on Wednesday with Newsmax host Greg Kelly, Trump said: “[Biden] said there was no vaccine when he took office, but he still got an injection before taking over. “
“It was already in early November that we announced it,” he continued, referring to the approval of the first vaccine. “But in fact, we had a lot before that and we were administering millions of injections and millions of doses. So he was not telling the truth or he was mentally lost – one or the other.”

At an event at CNN City Hall on Tuesday night, Biden said, “We went into the office and found … that there was nothing in the refrigerator, literally and figuratively.” Later, Biden said, “It’s one thing to have the vaccine, which we didn’t have when we took office.”
However, in another part of the forum, Biden said: “We arrived at the post, there were only 50 million doses” available.
