Illinois COVID Update Today: IL reports 1,682 new cases of coronavirus, 30 deaths

CHICAGO (WLS) – Illinois Department of Public Health officials reported 1,682 new and confirmed confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 30 deaths on Wednesday.

IDPH has reported a total of 1,202,709 COVID-19 cases, including 20,810 deaths since the pandemic began.

As of Tuesday night, 1,157 patients in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of these, 242 patients were in the ICU and 111 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported testing 71,488 samples for a total of 18,804,759 since the start of the pandemic.

The preliminary positivity of the seven-day state test, from March 3 to 9, is 2.6%.

A total of 4,323,145 doses of the vaccine were delivered to providers in Illinois, including Chicago, with an additional 414,900 doses allocated to federal government partners for long-term care facilities, bringing the total number delivered to Illinois to 4,738,045 .

When will children be able to receive the COVID vaccine?

IDPH reports that a total of 3,567,927 doses of vaccine have been administered, including 349,983 in long-term facilities. The seven-day moving average of vaccines administered is 95,369.

A total of 1,247,781 people in Illinois are fully vaccinated

On Tuesday, 104,777 doses of the vaccine were administered.

-Christian County: 1 woman from the 90s
-Cole County: 1 woman 50 years old
-Cook County: 2 men aged 50, 1 woman aged 60, 1 woman aged 70, 1 man aged 70, 2 men aged 80 and 1 woman aged 90
– Edgard County: 1 man 50 years old
– Fayette County: 1 man, 70 years old
– Jefferson County: 1 male in his 60s
-Kane County: 1 man 30 years old, 1 woman 70 years old
-Kendall County: 1 woman 70 years old
-Lake County: 1 woman 80 years old, 1 woman 90 years old
-Ogle County: 1 woman 80 years old
-Perry County: 1 man 50 years old
– Rock Island County: 1 60-year-old woman
-St. County Clair: 1 50 year old man, 1 60 year old man, 2 70 year old woman, 1 80 year old woman, 1 90 year old woman
-Stephenson County: 1 man 70 years old
– Will County: 1 female, 80 years old
– Winebago County: 1 woman from the 80s
