When the PS5 and Xbox Series X were revealed last year, players were amazed at their size. Comparing the Sony console with household items has become a social media trend, while CNET’s Dan Ackerman brought life-size models on your local Ikea to see how they fit into multiple cabinets.
It looks like the Swedish furniture seller has understood the challenges people face with next-generation consoles and has created their own simulation console units so you can see how they fit into multiple cabinets, according to a Reddit user.
“Which Ikea media storage unit will be able to fit my new oversized gaming console?” reads the copy on the side of the fake PS5.
It’s mocking Sony’s huge PS5, but these simulated consoles would be very useful when choosing cases. The PS5 in particular is so tall – just over 15 inches tall – that you’ll have to choose wisely.
Ikea did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
