The New York Giants are signing the ex-Minnesota Vikings on a one-year contract, their agency announced Wednesday night.

It is a $ 2.5 million one-year deal, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Odenigbo was not offered by the Vikings as a restricted free agent. The smallest restricted offer would have cost Minnesota about $ 2.1 million. Instead, Odenigbo will have a little more than that to sign the Giants as a free agent.

Odenigbo, formerly chosen in the seventh round in 2017, became a solid contributor for four years and three seasons in Minnesota. He had seven bags in 2019 as an off-the-bench rotating pass rusher. Last season, Odenigbo started all 15 games in which he appeared and did not have exactly the same production of bags with only 3.5 in the year. However, he increased his quarterback hits from 13 to 15 this season.

The Vikings signed a defensive tackle from Dalvin Tomlinson, away from the Giants, and New York returned the favor by choosing Odenigbo.
